Ph.D. is a highly specialized qualification. Ph.D. is an unique project focusing on a topic no one has researched before. Students are assigned a supervisor and the duration of a Ph.D. is three years full-time. A research proposal is required by all students when applying to study for Ph.D. in the UK.
